Elizabeth Gallery's mosaics are paintings in stone. Semi-precious gems, fossils, petrified wood, tile, heirloom silver and other personal mementos are combined with marble and granite in one-of-a-kind functional art. Elizabeth likes to use her client's thematic suggestions and precious family objects, but she reserves artistic direction for herself. One client requested that she create a memorial to all of his past cats by incorporating their metal pet tags into a design, together with dinner plates recalling elements of his life. The theme of another piece immortalized a lost love.
